Thonburi Hospital
34/1 Itsaraphap Soi 44
+66-2-412-0020
500 meters south of the Phran Nok Road and Itsaraphap Road intersection

This is a private hospital that can also be visited for smaller sicknesses, such as food poisoning or respiratory infections. When you enter the hospital, you need to register yourself at the counter for a Thonburi Hospital card. The hospital looks clean and professional, but the English level of the doctors is not to write home about.

Many locals commute from the Wang Lang area, so there are plenty of hairdressers, laundromats, pharmacies, copy shops and other daily services here. There are also plenty of hospitals in Thonburi:

Siriraj Hospital
2 Phran Nok Rd
+66-2-419-7000
Wang Lang (Siriraj) pier, then walk along Phran Nok Road and take a right into the complex

This is Thailand's oldest hospital, founded by King Rama V in 1888, two years after a cholera outbreak in Thailand. Currently it is a huge complex that takes up a large swathe of land at the banks of the Chao Phraya. It is part of the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University. With more than one million patient visits a year, it is one of the most congested public hospitals of Bangkok. Foreigners can probably better go a private hospital, such as Thonburi Hospital.
